The following is a story that was released by the Avon and Somerset Constabulary on 30 May 2002. "One of man's furry friends proved to be a top cop today as it led police to a bag full of loot. A man was arrested at 1.20am on suspicion of burglary at a garage. When arrested he was found to be in possession of a screwdriver and box of crockery and detained for questioning at Bath Police Station. When officers returned to the scene later on that morning to carry out a search they were met by a secret squirrel who was sat in front of the burgled garage. The squirrel indicated that it wanted the officers to follow it by running off a little way then stopping and checking the officers were following it. The squirrel then climbed a tree and led the officers to four boxes of stolen crockery and a box of LP's stacked at the bottom. The property was recovered, the thief released on bail pending further enquiries and the squirrel given an extra portion of nuts." YES I find it hard to believe, but the Avon & Somerset Constabulary assures me that it is true and they themselves find it hard to believe! Thrush that fell among catsA baby thrush fell from its nest into a cage of cats. It would have been a gonna for good had it not been for the Yorkshire Terrier's tremendous barking that alerted the owner. It's the third bird that has to be thankful to the Yorkshire Terrier for its life. He has also saved a day year old Greenfinch and an injured Blackbird. Wolves that saved a 7-year old girlMisha was only 7 and in worn-torn Europe when she trekked 3,000 miles across eight Nazi-occupied countries in the hope of finding her parents. In her book: "Surviving with Wolves" by Misha Defoneseca she describes how she slept with the wolves, ate with them and bathed with them. She even howled at the moon with them. The trek lasted four years. It began in 1941, and in 1942 she had reached Poland where she befriended what she thought was a dog but realised later it was a wolf. She said it was the closest thing she had to a mother, as it kept her alive by bringing her food. Soon more wolves joined them and they travelled together. She never did find her parents, but has now married, has a son, and is dedicating her life to the rescue of animals. Foxes being curious30th October 2002 TeletextThe Police have identified the culprits responsible for attacks on brakes, but will let them off scot-free because they are foxes. Surrey Detectives became alarmed after 22 cars in Epsom had their brake hoses cut in the first few weeks. Teeth mark examination by experts at Bristol University confirmed the theory that fox cubs were the offenders. SID - miracle in WAGGA WAGGA

Don't use a microwave when preparing home-cooked dishes for your dog. It is definitely a no-go!For more information on this point click Microwave Hazards! If you make your own recipes don't include onion. That is because onion can damage animals' red blood cells, causing a serious blood disorder. Dr. Dana Kellerman, a board-certified veterinary doctor of animal internal medicine at Pittsburgh Veterinary Internal Medicine, confirms that onion, even in small amounts, may cause hemolytic anemia and should never be given to dogs or cats. Garlic, however, has not posed a problem, the animal internist says. Another serious mismatch is Dalmatians and liver. They can't digest it properly, so give polka-dot pups another type of treat. Many common foods are actually harmful or even fatal to dogs. Dogs can't digest most vegetables (carrots, green beans, lettuce, potatoes or yams) and potato peels are very dangerous to them. Please see : Fatal to dogs for more info.

ONE CHRISTMAS MORNINGOne Christmas morning a cop on horseback is sitting at traffic lights, and next to him is a kid on his shiny new bike. The cop says to the kid, "Nice bike you got there. Did Santa bring that to you?" The kid says, "Yeah." The cop says, "Well, next year tell Santa to put a tail light on that bike." The cop then proceeds to issue the kid a $20.00 bicycle safety violation ticket. The kid takes the ticket and before he rides off says, "By the way, that's a nice horse you got there. Did Santa bring that to you?"Humouring the kid, the cop says, "Yeah, he sure did." The kid says, "Well, next year tell Santa to put the dick underneath the horse, instead of on top."

This August 19th - 20th, from 4pm to 5:30pm you could bring your pooch to the pool. $5 pre-sale, and $7 at the gate" Smart dog!!!! Watch how this dog gets the ball without getting in to the water! How did they do that?! This video is from a TV show where people said, "Hey, I have talent!" and judges would decide if they did or did not. When this couple did their act, there was no question. Everyone was floored. The video is about two minutes and includes some snappy music. Also, it will look much clearer if you don't run it full screen. The bigger the picture the fuzzier it will look. They put on an incredible act. It's mine!!! Kitty defending its food against a mutt!
